AT&T confirmed in Mexico, the purchase of Time Warner – The Journey online

To detail, the shareholders of Time Warner will receive 107.50 dollars per share based on the terms of the merger, which consists of 53.75 dollars per share in cash and 53.75 $ per share on shares of AT&T.

The part in shares will be subject to a “collar” such that the shareholders of Time Warner will receive 1.437 shares of AT&T if the average price of the shares of AT&T is below 37.411 of dollars at closing 1.3 actions AT&T if the average price of the shares of AT&T is above 41.349 dollars at closing.

“This announcement undoubtedly will set the tone of the world of entertainment in the next few years where the main objective of AT&T will offer its customers a choice of unique, quality, value and experiences that will define the future of media and communications.”

In Mexico AT&T is the owner and operator of a mobile network that is integrated with the purchase of Nextel, Iusacell and Unefon. At the end of the third quarter of 2016, the 4G LTE network of AT&T had coverage available to about 74 million people in Mexico and expects to cover 100 million people by the end of 2018.

The total income from mobile telephony services in Mexico amounted to 582 million dollars, which represents an increase of 0.2 percent compared with the same quarter of the previous year.

The increase is due in large part to the growth of subscribers, which offset the pressures caused by variations in the exchange rate and the competitive environment.

The operating loss for the third quarter were $ 148 million, compared with losses of $ 134 million recorded in the same quarter of last year, by the continued investment in the operations, network, and subscriber acquisition.

During the quarter, AT&T amounted to 163 thousand subscribers of postpaid and 606 thousand of pre-paid reach 10.7 million subscribers total mobile in Mexico; an increase of 32 percent compared with the same quarter last year.
