The growth in the US accelerates more than expected in the third quarter – Yahoo Finance Spain

economic growth in the United States accelerated more than expected in the third quarter and reached its pace of expansion more strong after two years, according to the first estimate published on Friday by the department of Commerce.

Thanks to a rise in exports and the return of investment in inventories, the Gross domestic Product (GDP) of the united States grew by 2.9% in yearly projection and on data corrected for seasonal variations.

The analysts estimated a 2.5% growth for this first assessment, which is published within 10 days of the presidential election.

this Is one of the last economic indicators important published before the November 8 election, with the employment figures for October planned for 4 November.

The activity of the first economy of the world had not advanced more than 1.4% in the second quarter and 0.8% in the first.

This growth of 2.9% represents the rate of expansion largest after the one registered in the third quarter of 2014, when GDP advanced by 5%.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecasts for 2016 a growth of 1,6% for the united States, both the Federal Reserve (central bank) has forecast a 1.8 per cent.
