Nokia sues Apple for patent infringement – Strategy & Business

Financial

Apple sued on Tuesday to Acacia Research and Conversant Intellectual Property Management, accusing them of colluding with Nokia to deprive him of a large income so unfair and anti-competitive.

The demands of Nokia, brought in courts of Dusseldof, Mannheim and Munich, in Germany, and in the Court of the Eastern District of Texas in the united States, covers patent of screens, user interface, software, antennas, processors, and video encoding.

“Since you agreed to a license covering certain patent portfolio of Nokia Technologies in 2011, Apple has declined subsequent offers made by Nokia to license other patented inventions that are used by many of Apple’s products,” said Nokia in a statement.

Apple and Acacia did not respond immediately to requests for comment.
