January 28, 2015, 00:42 Madrid, Jan 28 (Prensa Latina) Over nine thousand 100 companies from 165 countries displayed their products and services today at the Fair International Tourism Madrid (FITUR), which will remain open until February 1.

The area of Spanish companies increased 24 percent over the previous year and international sections the largest increases correspond to the Middle East (24 percent); Asia Pacific (19 percent) and Europe and Israel, with increases of 9 percent.
The Americas, represented by 20 countries, including Chile for the first time officially, will also have a 17 per percent stake while Africa is growing at two percent.
This year the area of health tourism received particular attention from the organizers, from predictions that Spain will bill a 300 million euros during 2015 in this sector and twice in four years.
Another section is Fitur Shopping prioritized as part of the strategy to encourage increased visitor spending, since 50 percent of travelers recognizes shopping as first or second reason for your trip.
According to estimates, shopping tourism moves annually in Europe alone, 13 000 500 million euros.
Other important attractions this year are Fitur Know How, with Mexico as guest country section dedicated to the most innovative solutions related to tourism management companies.
In this section nearly 40 Spanish companies with products and services inscfribieron in which new technologies applied to tourism are the protagonists.
The first three days of the show are reserved for industry professionals who last year moved thousand 138 million international tourists, 4.7 percent . more than in 2013
