BERLIN (Reuters) – The president of the Bundesbank Jens Weidmann said on Sunday that Greece would continue to need financial support and that only obtained if adheres to the terms agreed, saying he hoped the next government in Athens do not make promises that the country can not afford.

” I think it is also in the interest of the Greek government to do whatever is necessary to address the structural problems facing, “said the head of the central bank in an interview with German public broadcaster ARD.

“I hope the new government does not question the expectations and what has already been achieved,” he said.

The leftist Syriza in Greece was about to get a comfortable victory Sunday over the Conservatives in power in a poll exit polls, and could achieve an absolute majority to face its international creditors and reverse the austerity measures implemented by Athens.
