Unemployment in Spain fell 0.3% in February – The Universal

The number of Spaniards registered as unemployed fell by 0.3 percent in February from a month or 13 000 538 persons, leaving 4.51 million people out of work, data showed on Tuesday the Ministry of Labour.
 


 Unemployment ceded most notably in construction, up 1.89 percent, or 10 000 091 people. In the service sector, 223 people were less unemployed, while unemployment fell by 6 000 535 people in the industry, the figures showed.
 


 


 The fall in unemployment in February was the strongest recorded in that month since 2001, the ministry said. The unemployment rose in January for the first time since October after the end of the holiday season.
 


 


 The number of unemployed fell by 300 000 333 persons, or 6.24 percent in February compared to the same month last year.
