Spain’s economy grew 1% in the second quarter – The Universal

Gross (GDP) of Spain domestic product grew one percent in the second quarter of 2015, compared to the period from January to March this year grew 0.9 percent, said today the Bank of Spain.

In its Economic Bulletin of June 2015, the company said that it is a slight additional acceleration (a tenth) over the first quarter, which continues “holding fast the dynamism of the Spanish economy.”

He explained that “this high growth rate, which is accompanied by rapid job creation occurs in an environment of progress in correcting imbalances and improving financing conditions”.

He noted that as a result of this behavior in activity in the first half of the year, more positive than expected in March, the estimated GDP growth in 2015 has been revised upwards by three tenths to 3.1 percent.

2016, “expects a continuation of the phase of dynamism, although within a pattern of some contention, which could begin to be felt in the second half of this year.”

He explained it as a result of “some of the recent expansionary impulses, as the decline in oil prices and the depreciation of the euro”, to moderate its impact on GDP growth rates.

Therefore, the estimate for 2016 is for an average annual growth of 2.7 percent, the same rate at which it was projected in March.
