MADRID, Spain, Aug. 25, 2016.- The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Spain grew 0.8 percent in the second quarter, similar to that of the previous quarter, reported the National Statistics Institute (INE).
in annual terms, the growth rate of GDP is 3.2 percent, two points lower than the previous quarter tenths, as a result of a lower contribution from domestic demand.
the annual growth rate matches published for the quarterly GDP advance last July 29 estimate, while the quarterly growth rate is one tenth higher.
the contribution of domestic demand to annual GDP growth in the second quarter of 2016 is 3.0 points, eight less than the first quarter, which was 3.8 points tenths.
foreign demand was a contribution of 0.2 points, six more than the last quarter tenths (-0.4 points ).
the jobs in terms of jobs equivalent to full time, grew in the quarter 0.6 percent, three tenths less than the previous quarter, which was 0.9 percent.
in annual terms, employment rose 2.9 percent, three points lower than the first quarter tenths, representing an increase of 484,000 jobs full time in a year.
