Volkswagen Reaches Agreement with suppliers and resumes production – Forbes Mexico

Volkswagen will not stop production after reaching an agreement with suppliers who maintained a conflict that threatened to halt its operations this week in six plants in Germany.

on Tuesday, the German automaker announced an agreement with the two pieces providers -from group Prevent DEV, CarTrim GmbH and ES Automobilguss- with which it had a contract dispute and said that will restart the delivery of parts.

the affected plants gradually resume production vehicles.

Volkswagen said the parties agreed not to disclose details of the agreement after talks that stretched more 20 hours to resolve the conflict that threatened to cost the automaker thousands of vehicles in production loss this week

the automaker was forced to stop temporarily the activity six plants in Germany, which would halt the production model Golf and affect about 27,700 workers.

the affected factories have been Emden, Wolfsburg, Zwickau, Kassel, Salzgitter and Braunschweig.
