Madrid, Jan 16 (EFE) .- The Banco Santander, the largest in Spain and a strong presence in Latin America, decided to simplify its organizational structure, with the reduction of fifteen to eleven corporate divisions and giving more power to Vice President Rodrigo Echenique, who will become executive director.
In a statement released today, the bank Ana Patricia Botín presided since early September and after the death of his father, Emilio Botín, the company explains that these changes, adopted by its board of directors, “will contribute to improved responsiveness to customers and exceed ambitious business and financial goals it has set.”

José María Fuster, director general of far bank and division director of technology and operations, assumes corporate innovation function reporting directly to the president of Santander.
The group explains that Fuster “lead new strategies” to position the Bank Santander as “an international leader in innovation applied to the bank.
In addition, Rami Aboukhair to date Deputy General Manager, has been appointed CEO of the bank and joined Santander Spain as head of commercial banking (distribution networks, companies and individuals).
