Voters in Greece and Spain can overturn the policy
The January 25 Greece close the door on the past. The victory of SYRIZA is the hope of change for the world of work and the European culture. From the darkness of austerity and authoritarianism in the light of democracy, solidarity and sustainable development. But Greece is only the beginning of the change that comes from Southern Europe. Soon we will also get to Spain … The defeat of political sponsors of austerity, insecurity and fear, corruption and scandals begins in our countries. Our people hold the future in their hands to open the door tomorrow incorruptible rulers. A new way of doing politics to regain the future who have denied us during this crisis. For this reason, the victory of the Greek people and SYRIZA is the message of a promising new way to Spain. The south continues, to change Europe.
Europe is no longer a victim of the crisis. The crisis ended where it began in the United States, thanks to expansionary fiscal and monetary policy. Europe today is a victim of the austerity policies imposed by the conservative Europe and divisive decisions by Chancellor Merkel. The neoliberal management of the crisis has led countries in southern Europe to a politically unacceptable and economically unsustainable balance. Survived between stagnation and low GDP growth between deflation, high debt, high unemployment and poverty already reached unimaginable heights of the population.
Talk Out of the crisis with growth rates for the euro zone still very weak (0.8% in 2014 and 1.1% in 2015) can only be understood from a view of politics that ignores the most affected by the policies austerity.
For this reason, the struggle of our people for change is common sense struggle against ideological fanaticism. It is the struggle for dignity against slavery.
For us, this new normal of precariousness and cut social rights arising from the crisis and which is accepted so uncritically by conservative powers is not acceptable and motivates us to bring about change that Greece, Spain and the whole of Europe need.
The victory of SYRIZA represents a new beginning for the collaboration between all progressive forces in southern Europe while the brake supposed austerity policies that are behind the stagnation, mass unemployment and indebtedness.
It’s the start also to restore economic security, out corrupt practices infecting politics and to recover the dignity of our country. Also to repatriate our youth in exile, the new generation of immigrants.
In this new phase of the crisis, the European Central Bank (ECB) has the keys to Europe. The policy of quantitative easing is one of the necessary steps for the collective and sustainable exit from the crisis that engulfed the eurozone takes too many years. If adopted, it will be welcome, even though for many late. However, to be effective, must fully comply with the spirit of “do whatever it takes” enunciated by Mario Draghi. This means that the ECB program must be large-scale, unconditionally and without exceptions. That is, should include all countries in need.
But monetary policy alone does not have the ability to pull Europe out of the impasse. We urgently need an expansionary fiscal policy to boost growth and investment; New European Deal one that dowry financing investment programs in sectors with high added value and re-industrialization plan that prioritizes his performances in those economies with higher unemployment rates. Finally, it is essential to ease the burden of debt in a coordinated manner through the creation of a European Conference on Debt, which refers to the London Conference of 1953 which facilitated the German recovery after the war. A collective and socially sustainable for the indebtedness of the eurozone solution should not be understood by Chancellor Merkel, as a measure associated with moral hazard; should be a moral duty.
The January 25, hope has homeland. And Europe is the compass for change.
