Four of the world’s largest banks guilty of trying to manipulate the currency market were declared, and were fined nearly US $ 6,000 million.
Such penalty is given in the framework of the research being done on a global market worth 5 billion dollars a day.
The financial institutions in question are: Citigroup Inc., JPMorgan Chase & amp; Co, Barclays Plc, UBS AG and Royal Bank of Scotland Plc, which were accused by US and British officials to deceive their customers to augment their own profits through chat rooms which can be accessed only by invitation and coded language to coordinate operations.
