Amancio Ortega, owner of Zara and second richest in the world – El Diario de Yucatan

         


     

MADRID (EFE) .- The Spanish businessman Amancio Ortega, founder of the textile group Inditex, matrix of Zara fashion brand, and owns the second largest fortune in the world (67,000 million dollars according to Forbes), meets today eighty years.

from humble beginnings, Ortega was born in 1936 in Busdongo, a town in the province of Leon (north), and began working at fourteen as a gofer in a shirt.

Inditex is currently one of the largest retail groups in the world and has seven thousand stores worldwide.
