There are not any facilities. Shops are not managed by the textile giant, but are NGOs that are responsible for the day to day business and commercial activity. The project For & amp; From, as it is known, was created to integrate occupationally disabled.

The first of these stores opened in 2002 in Barcelona. Behind her have reached eight in Galicia, Catalonia and Valencia. All have products off-season own brands such as Massimo Dutti, Stradivarius, Bershka and Oysho.

Inditex involved in the project with an initial donation, which is building the store. From there, the business is “self-sustaining”. The company founded by Amancio Ortega sells clothes at low prices, which corresponds to 70% of the manufacturing cost. The establishment works since opening a franchised.

The aim is that the stores are profitable, so that the benefits back directly to the organization that manages the establishment. And they get. According to data provided by the textile group, this group of stores achieved in 2015 a turnover of 5.3 million euros and a profit of 470,000 euros.

The company says that the aim is to encourage, to the extent possible, the transit of persons with disabilities in the labor market and ordinary shops as well as provide financial resources for organizations collaborating in the project. They also look for help in raising social awareness of the importance of integrating this part of the population “as an essential element to create a diverse and inclusive society.”

The commitment to this model is clear and this year, Inditex has announced the expansion of its first establishment and opening of new stores. The facilities of these stores are also adapted for disabled guests.

Along with this program, Inditex has the Salta and Jeunes projects, dedicated to the employment of groups at risk of exclusion. The second initiative was born in France in 2008 for the employment of disadvantaged young people in the metropolitan area of Paris.
