Easter was successful with large influx of tourists, hotel industry reports – alcalorpolitico

Hoteliers and restaurateurs admitted they had a good Easter, as tourist arrivals was good with the help of sunny days in the region

 The president of the Association of Hotels and Motels in the metropolitan area Veracruz-Boca del Rio, Fernando Ortiz Gonzalez, said that Friday could reach up to 90 percent of hotel occupancy.

 

 He estimated that total could reach, within two weeks of vacation, up to 85 percent of reservations in the conurbation, which exceeded expectations.

 

 The hotelier said the spill in the sector will reach about 400 million pesos, which would become the most important holiday period in the state, around 2016.

 

 For his part, the president in Veracruz of the National Chamber of the Restaurant Industry and Seasoned Foods (CANIRAC) Bouchez Guillermo Gomez, estimated that demand increased by up to 30 percent over Easter.
