PlayStation 4 Pro had a week of launch success in Japan; however, during its second week of availability, the new Sony console will be collapsed in a matter of sales.
according To data published by the magazine Famitsu, PS4 Pro sold 65,000 units during its opening week, while last week only sold 11,000 units.
In general, the family PS4 sold 37,000 units and ensured the second place of sales in the hardware list —led by the Nintendo 3DS with nearly 114,000 units—, but was very far from the 93,000 units sold in the previous period.
Since then, a factor which we cannot leave aside is the output of Pokémon Sun / Moon, which increased exponentially the sales of 3DS, and also affected the PS4.
For now, we do not know if this trend will continue in the next few weeks, but it will be interesting to see if PS4 Pro will regain the strength in the japanese market.
