MADRID (Reuters) – The National Institute of Statistics (INE) on Thursday confirmed the data developed for the previous month’s growth of Gross domestic Product (GDP) Spanish in the third quarter, supported at the pull of domestic demand, tourism and exports.
On a quarterly basis, GDP grew 0.7 per cent end in the third quarter of the year, in line with the provisional data and with the estimates of analysts polled by Reuters, although a tenth below the figure for the second quarter.
In inter-annual terms, the Spanish gdp grew by 3.2 percent year-on-year, also in line with the data and preliminary forecasts and two-tenths below the rate year-on-year in the second quarter.
The minister of Economy, Luis de Guindos, said last month that the Spanish economy could grow this year, higher than the 3.1 percent forecast by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). (Full Story)
