Eurozone gives Greece a week of term – Univision

                                 

The principal officer of the euro on Monday launched a virtual ultimatum to Greece to Athens requests an extension of the bailout program, given that the new Greek government has stridently leftist far rejected.

 

Greece and its creditors in the eurozone are at an impasse on how to lighten the weight of bailout loans.


 

A Greece would like to delete the current program and agree on a bridge loan to support its finances. The new Greek government blames the current program of inflicting severe fiscal austerity on the country and has promedito their constituents who deleted.

The Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis, said the ultimatum eurozone is not useful, but stated that Athens is willing to find a solution in two days.


 

Creditor nations of the eurozone indicated that Greece must agree to the weekend an extension of the bailout program extended to the country.


 

Athens ruled that measure and stated that aims to void the agreement and arrange another having more favorable conditions.


 

Greece is willing to “do what is necessary to reach an agreement over the next two days.”


 

But said he will not accept austerity conditions included in the current b ailout program.

“My preference is that the program be extended and think it is still possible,” he told a news conference.

Greek stocks down 4.4% at midday, while the Euro Stoxx eurozone shares index fell 0.2%.


 

Athens wants a role in the payment of rescue loans by 240,000 million euros it has received from other countries in the region and easing the International Monetary Fund and a budget less austere.

 

The coalition government of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras won the elections on January 25 with the promise of ending austerity policies that have demanded the country to reduce debt, but have caused the contraction of the economy and a rise in unemployment above 25%.

 

German Minister skeptical solution

 

The German Finance Minister said he is skeptical that the 19 eurozone countries reached agreement on Greek debt at its meeting on Monday.


 

Asked if he expected a solution at the meeting of finance ministers of the euro on Monday, the German Wolfgang Schaeuble said he had heard of technical talks over the weekend made him being “very skeptical”.

Schaeuble told the radio station Deutschlandfunk that “Greece has to see that he can not continue living beyond their means and keep making proposals for others pay even more.”


 

“Sorry for the Greeks. They chose a government that is behaving quite irresponsible at this time,” Schaeuble said.
