Madrid, February 2 (EFE) .- The Pescanova group earned between January and November 2014 a total of 1.649 million euros, compared with a loss of 718 million the whole of 2013, according to the accounts presented by the company to the Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV).

Net sales for the year 2014 (11 months) reached 901 million euros, similar as fishing company that achieved in the year 2013; and consolidated to December 31 exceeds 1,000 million.
The company’s decision to close the year 2014 with only 11 months was adopted at the Special Meeting held in late November, to preserve a stable legal framework in the context of refloating of the company.
Pescanova considered, given the difficulties of recent years, the evolution of the level of business of the group is “very positive” because it has gotten that the bankruptcy did not affect the level of supply and service both direct customers and end consumers.
Operating income before depreciation and amortization, impairment and other not strictly operating results (Ebitda) of the 11 months of 2014 totaled 63 million euros, and around 70 million if it is considered a period of 12 months compared with the year 2013.
In the results experienced growth in 2014 has played ” a role relevant “strengthening extractive fishing activities that the group has in Argentina, Namibia and Mozambique and the activity of shrimp farming in Nicaragua and Ecuador Vanammei.

The Pescanova financial debt at the end of November 2014 amounted 1,333 million, a decline from 2013 to nearly 2,000 million derived primarily from the implementation of the agreement creditors contest in which it is embedded
