CaixaBank has called on Monday for unions to plantearles measures including geographic mobility, changes in working conditions and a record of employment regulation (ERE), and that the staff representatives estimate that pose adjustment between 400 and 500 workers, as explained to Europa Press a union spokesman.

The company Financial has identified surplus staff in Andalusia, Canary Islands and Navarre, homelands of the absorbed Banca Cívica, as published on Friday ‘La Vanguardia’, while introducing deficit at Catalunya and Baleares.

Power CaixaBank have declined to offer a number of affected, but have pointed to Europa Press that will make proposals “template for adapting to business needs in each territory and solve staffing imbalances that have occurred in some geographic areas.”

The intention of the bank that issued the meeting on Thursday, the same day that formalized the absorption of Barclays Bank SAU, is maintaining its policy of seeking an agreement to avoid forced departures of workers.

CaixaBank has nearly 33,600 employees, and currently has in place a plan for early retirement from 58 years and new hires to create 700 jobs in 2015, agreed with unions in July 2014.

CC.OO. It claimed in a statement to the template to be to continue in the coming years to the processes of early retirements and new hires; that mobility should be voluntary and not exceed 25 kilometers away, and if a redundancy arises must be voluntary and serve to accelerate the return of persons transferred to other areas.

The union also argues that will not accept wage adjustment measures, and housed until Monday to learn the technical aspects of the negotiations and concrete proposals for measures to be implemented
