The Spanish economy is accelerating the pace and this year is likely to reach 3.5% growth, Economy Minister Luis de Guindos said Monday.
The indicators show a better performance of the economy, which grew at a solid pace of 0.9% in the first quarter compared to the same period last year, he said.
He indicated that growth in 2015 will be closer to 3, 5% to 2.9% target set by the government.
Spain was hit hard by the financial crisis of 2008-2010 and just came off a double-dip recession in late 2013. Its economy has grown over the past seven quarters.
