Logroño, March 12 (EFE) .- The General Union of Workers (UGT) will for the first time in its history as number two in the union to a woman, Cristina Antoñanzas, who takes office “normally” but says “I wish it were not news” the fact that since it occupies a woman.
Antoñanzas (Calahorra. 1976) is a biologist and until 2013 made compatible his Executive position in the UGT in La Rioja work in a food analysis laboratory; since that year is secretary general of UGT in the autonomous community, a position he will leave on April 2, unable to, by the union’s constitution, reconcile with their new position.
The union leader explained in an interview with EFE that led from beginning of the year working on making a team and a proposal for the congress of UGT with Jose Maria Alvarez.
