Mitsubishi used data not compatible with Japanese standards since 1991 – Investing.com Spain

TOKYO (Reuters) – Mitsubishi Motors Corp (T :) Test methods used fuel that were not compatible with Japanese standards since 1991, far more than previously recognized, said a source with knowledge of the situation.

the sixth largest automaker in Japan has lost half its market value -some 3,900 million dollars since admitted last week that exaggerated the fuel economy of four domestic models of their vehicles, including two produced by Nissan Motor (T :) Co.

the company also said that testing methods used were not compatible with Japanese standards since at least 2002.
