ING, the entity to which more expensive has left the new system of commissions in foreign ATMs promoted by CaixaBank, Santander and BBVA, last for this autumn its formula to offer cash withdrawals in stores.

with an interbank average fee of 0.6 euros in 2015, the Dutch bank paid 24 million euros. According to ING, these commissions which banks apply to customers of other entities, have tripled.

The strategy to avoid heavy toll fee at ATMs outside will offer its customers the possibility of using your card or mobile phone to extract cash in shops, a formula called cashback.

This formula is not new outside Spain. It is widespread in countries like the UK, where it is common for businesses with large amounts of cash in the offer to customers who pay their purchases with debit card the ability to score higher than the purchase amount and get the difference cash. The card user does not pay commissions.

ING wants to add the increasing use of mobile as a payment to this model. The entity ahead this summer a series initiatives based on new technologies to offer benefits to customers who choose virtual models of payments, collections and operations in general, the use of cash.

most ambitious is Twyp , a system for exchanging electronic money that works with the ease of a chat via mobile phone. The application synchronizes all phone contacts and allows transfers regardless of the bank holding the account of origin or destination. The other banks are not far behind and this fall will present their own common APP
