The Council of Ministers on Friday, December 26, approve an increase of 0.5% of the minimum wage (SMI) , which will rise to 648.6 euros monthly and annual figure will reach 9079.37 euros, and the adjustment of pensions for 2015, told Europa Press governmental sources.
The royal decree minimum wage, the Government submitted to the social partners, slightly raise the amount over the next year after increasing 0.6% in 2013 and remain frozen in 2012 and 2014. The SMI currently perceive some 200,000 workers.
With the new update the minimum wage will increase by about three per month, increase from CCOO considered “insufficient” and “clear out” of what it would take to recover the level of purchasing power lost during the crisis.
In 2013, the SMI grew by 0.6%, equivalent to an increase maximum wage agreed in the II Agreement for employment and collective bargaining 2012-2013-2014, signed on January 25, 2012 by unions and employers.
In addition, the Executive approve at its meeting Friday the draft law to the auditors, which will incorporate into Spanish law European legislation in this area and increase transparency standards that work with these companies.
