The average pension in the Murcia region comprising the different types of pension (retirement, permanent disability, widowhood, orphanhood and for family members) is 772.39 euros per month, the third lowest in the country, representing 104,14 euros below the average pension system Social Security in Spain, reached in December the amount of 876.53 euros, according to the Ministry of Employment and Social Security.
However, in Murcia growth was experienced in the average pension of 1.6 percent compared with December of last year, up slightly lower than in the whole country (1.7 percent).

By type of pension, in Murcia a total of 133,375 registered retirement; 60,849 widows; 32,260 permanent disability; 10,943 orphans and 923 for families.
In the whole of Spain, the Social Security allocated in this December’s record high of 8.126 million euros to pay contributory pensions, 3 , 1% more than in the same month in 2013, according to data released Tuesday by the Ministry of Employment and Social Security.
The average pension in early December reached 1,008 euros per month, which representing a 2% increase over the same month of 2013.
Meanwhile, the average pension system, comprising the different types of pension (retirement, permanent disability, widowhood, orphanhood and for family members) , stood at the beginning of this month at 877 euros per month, representing an annual increase of 1.7%.
In December, the number of contributory pension Social Security rebranded record number to be placed at 9,270,942, an increase of 1.4% over the same month of 2013, of which over 5.6 million were pensions.
