MADRID – In November, foreign tourists spent 3.436 million euros (about US $ 4 000 100 000 000) 1.7% more than in the same month last year.
The increase is due to the 2.9% increase in the number of tourists, as both average spending per trip and stay posted modest declines of 1.1% and 2, 6% respectively.
The average daily expenditure, however, increased 1.5%.
Tourists from Latin America, France and Germany were the contributing “to a greater extent “net increase in total consumption during the month of November.

Increased spending (36.7%) and arrivals (17.4%) from Latin America were the highlights of the November data.
The visit to Spain Leisure generated 83% of spending by international visitors in November, representing an increase of 4.6% compared to the same period of 2013.
