Greek Finance Minister says hoped to sign a separate agreement … – Reuters

BRUSSELS (Reuters) – Greek Finance Minister, Yanis Varoufakis, said Monday he hoped to seal a deal with creditors that would give extra credit to Athens four and six months in return for putting on hold a few new budgetary policies.

Varoufakis said the European Commission submitted that suggestion before the meeting of finance ministers of the euro zone but that the commitment was replaced by a draft differently – President of the Eurogroup Jeroen Dijsselbloem – you can not sign because it forces Athens to extend its current bailout program.

A Commission official said the commissioner Pierre Moscovici had “contributed ideas” in discussions with Varoufakis but all that was negotiated was the proposal of the Eurogroup.
