Brussels, May 12 ( EFE ) .- The Spanish Minister of Economy and Competitiveness, Luis de Guindos, said today that the wage increase of 1% 2015 and 1.5% for 2016 could close on Tuesday definitely unions and employer consistent with the aim of maintaining the competitiveness of the Spanish economy.
“I think having a reference is always positive and is also a reference which I think is in line with maintaining the competitiveness of the Spanish economy, “De Guindos said on arrival at the Council of Ministers of Economy and Finance of the European Union (EU), the Ecofin.

Trade unions and employers could close a definitive agreement on the wage pact with a rise of 1% for 2015 and 1.5% for 2016 today.

President CEOE , Juan Rosell, said he is convinced that “negotiations are running” and all indications are that the meeting to be held today could finalize the III Agreement for Employment and Collective Bargaining.
