The European Commission denied that President Jean-Claude Juncker had made a new proposal to Greece, while the chief EU Monetary Affairs, Pierre Moscovici, He said Greece was being “more constructive” in negotiations.

In the bond market, the risk premium on Spanish debt to 10 years compared to its German counterpart stood at 119 basis points, with Spanish bond yields in the 1.85 percent.
