The manufacturer automobile German Volkswagen will cut 30,000 jobs through 2020 to save nearly 4,000 million euros, reported today the German newspaper “Handelsblatt”.
The newspaper, citing sources from the company, adds that the greater part of the reduction of jobs, two-thirds, is produced in the German factories.
The supervisory board of Volkswagen meets today to approve the investment plan.
The savings will affect especially to the factories in the north of Germany, but the president of the committee of the company has ensured, Bernd Osterloh, will retain all the factories.
