A former chief of Intereconomía, arrested for attacking a website that you … – The Digital Star

Luis Sans, former CEO of Intereconomía , was arrested this weekend with three defendants computer experts bring down news portal PRNoticias for three weeks in October last year, causing losses worth 425,000 euros.

The exdirectivo of Intereconomía allegedly hired three computer to saturate Web of PRNoticias and well avenge criticism that it had launched against his media group . The technique is known as DDoS and involves making a cyberattack through many computers that communicate simultaneously until saturation and bring down the website.

In fact, the attack ended saturating Web servers, causing access problems for three weeks and a loss of 425,000 euro s, as have encrypted the website.

After more than a year and a half research, in which the US FBI collaborated , the four persons were located and arrested for their alleged involvement in a continuing offense of computer damage. The arrests took place in Madrid and Tarragona. The operation would have seized variety of computer equipment. Three laptop computers three tablets, five hard disks, three mobile phones and two pen drives
