It is hoped that a Spanish company participated in the construction of the AVE of California, the first to be built in the US, and has finally been ACS which has won hands with their opponents. It has done so in a consortium, where controls 70% through its subsidiaries Flatiron and Dragados (integrated into its subsidiary Hochtief) – together with a local construction, Shimmick.
This offered the tightest offer price -1.235 million dollars (993 million euros) for a budget that could rise up to a ceiling of 1,600 million-, and the most valued technically -part weighing 30% in the final decision against 70% who represented the costs-. ACS and your partner will be responsible to build in the coming years the second leg of the route by AVE linking the cities of Los Angeles and San Francisco, in what is the most important infrastructure project that is now underway in the United States. It is a journey of 65 miles (nearly 105 kilometers) between Fresno and Bakersfield North located in the Central Valley, one of the areas with the highest unemployment in the country and which are intended to create thousands of jobs.

And it works AVE California could well be labeled as Pharaoh: a macro with an estimated cost of 65,000 million (nearly 52,190 million euros) and a duration of work which will run until 2029. The end result is that for train travel 600 miles between San Francisco and Los Angeles sufficient to two hours and 40 minutes, three times less than what it takes drive (between six and eight hours) but more than double of what it is doing by plane (one hour).
