ACS and Sacyr bid for a bridge over the Canal per billion – El Siglo Panama

Sacyr and ACS bid for a bridge over the  Canal per thousand million & # xA0;

Sacyr goes to the project in consortium with Korean Hyundai, while the ACS group does through its subsidiary Dragados.

Sacyr and ACS bid for the construction of the fourth bridge over the Panama Canal valued at 1,000 million dollars (approximately 890 million euros), said the Spanish Minister of Development in office, Ana Pastor.

Sacyr goes to the project in consortium with Hyundai Korean, while the ACS group does through its subsidiary Dragados.

in total, the Ministry of Public Works of Panama has prequalified a total of six consortiums to bid for the contract for design and construction of this bridge tender which was also attended by two Chinese group.

in addition to the Spanish firms, have submitted offers the Panama Consortium Fourth Bridge; Daelim consortium Astaldi-; Fourth Bridge Consortium CSCEC-CREC-GLF and CCB consortium, according to industry data.

The bridge, which will have an approximate length of 6.5 kilometers, will be built north of the Bridge of the Americas, one of the most iconic bridges in the country, located right at the entrance to the canal from the Pacific Ocean.

the infrastructure will consist of six lanes for vehicles and two dedicated lanes for Metro Line 3, connecting dormitory towns of Arraijan and La Chorrera (province of Panama Oeste) with the center of the capital.

it is estimated that the project could benefit 1.7 million people and that the tender for the Metro line 3 takes place, is expected next year.

once the six proposals are analyzed Panamanian authorities should establish which companies are prequalified, which will advance to the next stage. Bidding for the infrastructure started in October last year.
