Today’s electric cars Model S and Model X are synonymous with luxury, technology, comfort and security in the world. But the first model Tesla was not safe, at least in the words of the founder and president of the company, Elon Musk.

During the annual conference for investors Tesla, Musk said the Tesla Roadster, the first commercial model of his company, was not as safe as he would have liked, even when complied with all regulations necessary to circulate the streets as a legal car.

“Honestly, this car had all the requirements and permits required by regulations to legally run, but equally it was completely insecure” .

Musk said the first Roadster bought it himself and that although he enjoyed, over time the car began to fail and got stuck in second gear.

the Tesla Roadster went on sale in 2008, two years after the company presented its first prototype. Much time has passed since Tesla ventured into the world of electric cars and today both the Model S as the Model X are known worldwide, and in a couple of years we will have economic Model 3 circulating through the streets .
