Five Days / Four Madrid municipalities and one Catalan occupy the top positions in the list of highest average gross income, according to data provided today by the Tax Agency. The first place is Pozuelo de Alarcón, Madrid. Its residents have an average gross income of 59,279 euros and an average disposable income of 42,579 euros.
Next is the municipality of Matadepera, about 30 kilometers from Barcelona. There, its inhabitants enjoy an average gross income of 48,804 euros and 36,232 euros average income available. Matadepera was declared by Fedea last year the municipality where higher income tax declared. Another Barcelona city, Sant Cugat del Valles, the sixth in this list: 45,901 euros gross income of 34,253 and available. In between are three municipalities in Madrid. Boadilla del Monte, Majadahonda and Las Rozas
The bottom of the table the copan Andalusia and Extremadura. Among the municipalities with the lowest income stands Zafarraya in the province of Granada. Its 2,023 inhabitants have an average gross income of 10,293 euros, and 9,416 euros disposable income. Followed Zahínos (Badajoz), with 2,864 inhabitants and 10,301 euros gross income (9,494 euros of disposable income).
Almáchar, Malaga, has 1,890 inhabitants and 10,539 euros on average gross income. La Parra, Badajoz, is the fourth from bottom, with 10,817 euros of gross income.
According to published data, the average gross income of Spain stood at 24,376 euros. Meanwhile, the average disposable income is 19,933 euros.
In general, the average gross income increases as the municipality is greater, except in the intermediate section (from 100,000 to half a million inhabitants). Thus, according to Treasury data, between the municipalities of more than 500,000, the average gross income is 31,165 euros; for the towns of 100,001 to 500,000 inhabitants, it is 24,955 euros; from 50,000 to 100,000 inhabitants, it is 25,470; and will gradually down to the municipalities of less than 1,000 inhabitants, with an average gross income of 16,978 euros
