The new currency five euro is about to leave the oven. Dubbed “Blue Planet” refers to Earth. Will be in circulation in Germany tomorrow, Thursday 14 April. Collectors can now make room for one more coin in your collection. Yes, they have to get it from a different website of The Mint route, because their stocks are sold out for days.
The Mint Munich has released its image. It is made of blue and translucent polymer, its diameter is 27.25 mm, 1.5 higher than the two-euro coin millimeters.
The reverse all continents of the planet Earth will be reflected and contour it will be blue, symbolizing the atmosphere around us. An eagle will star on the obverse of the new coin, surrounded by the name Bundesrepublik Deutschland (Federal Republic of Germany).
There are two limited versions of the new currency. A regular edition of which a million and half units for circulation as payment will be issued. And, especially for collectors proof edition, which will have a circulation of 250,000 units valued at 77.75 euros each.
The EU is gradually renewing its Euro banknotes of the “Europe Series” to add more security features. So far, euro notes 5, 10 and 20 are already in circulation. The next will be 50.
