This year, in the high season of European tourism, the ‘tax Sustainable Tourism’ will range between 0.5 and 2 euros for each day of stay in the islands. While during the off-season tourism calendar, the amount will be between 0.25 and 1 EUR daily.

the cost of the fee varies according to the type of accommodation chosen by the traveler. In hostels and camps will be paid less, while in 5-star hotels and luxury apartments will be charged the higher price.
However, persons under 17 years of age are exempt from paying the tourist tax.
The money raised with the ‘eco-tax’ will be invested in environmental protection and conservation local nature, and in promoting sustainable tourism.
