Supporters of the new Greek government held demonstrations in cities across Europe as a show of support before meeting Monday to discuss the Eurogroup Greek rescue package.
The first Greek Minister Alexis Tsipras said on Sunday he hoped to reach an agreement in negotiations with its partners in the eurozone, but reiterated it would not accept stringent austerity measures no agreement on its debt.
In the eve of the meeting of finance ministers of the eurozone in Brussels, Tsipras told the German magazine Stern that Athens needed time to implement its reform program.
“I hope difficult negotiations, however, I am full of confidence,” Tsipras said.
Tsipras promised voters dismiss austerity measures bailout package for Greece, including those related to labor reforms.
If the meeting fails results, there are concerns that Greece is immersed in a financial crisis more deep and is forced to leave the eurozone.
