MADRID (Reuters) – Banco Popular (MC:) said on Tuesday that studies to repurchase the real estate agent Aliseda within the process of deconsolidation of real estate assets.
Aliseda manages the real estate of the Banco Popular Group and belongs in a 49 percent to the bank, but the 51 percent remaining in the hands of investment funds, Värde partners and Kennedy Wilson.
“The above is one of the various alternatives that are being studied, without, to date, the decision making bodies of the bank have taken a final decision”, said the financial institution in a relevant fact.
Popular sold the majority stake in Aliseda in 2013 in an operation that, according to sources, would have amounted to approximately 800 million euros.
