The Renault-Nissan Alliance and Microsoft Corporation signed a multi-year agreement at the global level with the purpose of developing the next generation of technologies that promote driving experiences connected around the world.
Both companies will collaborate to make a new generation of connectivity services for vehicles, powered by Microsoft Azure, one of the offerings of “cloud smart” the company’s technology.
These new services will improve the user experience through advanced navigation, predictive maintenance and services focused on the vehicle, in addition to the remote monitoring of their characteristics, external experiences for mobile and the-air updates, as reported to the press through a press release.
“The Renault-Nissan Alliance is a pioneer in the integration of technologies for driving autonomous and connectivity features in vehicles aimed at the mass market”, highlighted the two companies.
it Was reported that the alliance has the objective to continue developing these elements to support the launch of more than 10 vehicles with the technology driving autonomous by 2020.
These will be services that will allow to take full advantage of the free time inside the vehicle.
The alliance will continue launching and developing new connectivity services and applications that facilitate people to stay connected to work, enjoy entertainment on board and connect to your social networks.
Also, it will offer services focused on the vehicle that may simplify and improve the relationship established between the user and the means of transport, using information based on the usability, remote access, remote diagnostics and preventive maintenance.
