Drug trafficking, prostitution or spending on R + D + i and military rise 26,193,000 in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Spain. So, at the end of 2013, total 1,049 billion with the recalculation of INE to measure the economy, including activities not accounted for so far.
In total, illegal activities pose 0 87% of GDP (prostitution represents 0.35% and drug trafficking, 0.50%), according to the year 2010 baseline year.
However, the inclusion of illegal activities have less impact on the rise and influence comes greater recognition for investment in R + D + i (1.17% in 2010), which until now was computed as intermediate consumption.
The INE has released today the upgrade of the complete set of national accounts from 2010 to 2013 (the next day it will since 1995) in compliance with the new legislation that Brussels adopted for the 28 EU countries.
Under the new historical series the weight of the Spanish economy has increased by 2.6%, ie EUR 26.193 million and added that the last data of known GDP in late 2013 and then amounted to 1,023 billion.

The methodological changes together represent 0.84% of GDP in 2010, with the base of the same year.
The INE has made estimates indicates that the most significant illegal activities in Spain such as prostitution, drug trafficking, smuggling and illegal gambling snuff, following the methodologies and procedures established by Eurostat, in order that the figures of the different EU countries are homogeneous and comparable.
