According to Spanish media reported today, the investigating judge of the investigation, José Castro, raised the hundred volumes and over 76,000 folios summary of the case called Nóos to the first section of the Provincial Court of Palma de Mallorca, in eastern Spain, DPA said.
The rapporteur responsible for drafting the judgment Samantha Romero will be the judge in court who will chair Juan Pedro Yllanes and also form part Eleonor Moya. This court will be established by the date on which he will judge the 18 accused of “Nóos case”, among which are the sister of the King of Spain and her husband.
It will be the first time a member of the Spanish royal sit on the dock. Cristina de Borbon, 49, asked to be acquitted after arguing recently signed “no questions asked” written to him by her husband, who owned a company half.
Urdangarin, professional handball exjugador 47, will be tried for having appropriated allegedly six million euros of public money with his former partner in the Nóos Institute, a non-profit organization linked to the world of sport.
Both the infant as her husband were removed from the official agenda of the Spanish royal family in late 2011, when there was the complaint of former athlete.
The “Nóos case” meant a blow to the reign of Juan Carlos I , who abdicated last June at his son, now Felipe VI. Cristina and her older sister, the Infanta Elena, ceased to be part of the royal family at the behest of the new monarch soon after his arrival to the throne.
